Last week we had the chance to go on a safari. On Tuesday morning, two land cruisers picked up our party of 9 at the hotel in Mombasa and drove us 4 hours northwest to the edge of Tsavo National Park. We stayed at the Salt Lick Safari Lodge in the Tiata Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.
The afternoon after we arrived, we spent 3 hours driving around the wildlife sanctuary in our two land cruisers, driven by two fabulous guides. The next day we spent 11 hours driving around the national park. On the third day, we explored another section of the wildlife sanctuary in the morning before driving 4 hours to the beach town of Diani, where we stayed for 5 days.
