Yesterday afternoon we visited the village of Zhaochang, on the outskirts of Yibin. It is one of the places where Esther worked in the late 1930’s. For some reason, one old street remains — lined with leaning wooden structures and sleepy storefronts. It was quite easy to imagine Esther walking these streets, talking to people, and setting up her weekly dispensery.
As we were walking the streets I spotted this little tyke engaged in some serious manual labor.
Too cute for words.
Achingly cute
I wonder how many layers that little cutie has on!
