Meat sticks (肉串儿 ) are a popular street food in China. Put some lamb pieces on a stick, add cumin, salt, and red pepper, and away you go! In the Muslim regions of China’s northwest, they are almost a staple — best eaten with fresh naan!
The meat stick cooker in this video has, as they say, “kicked it up a notch!”
Not only did this video make miss China; it made me HUNGRY!
BTW, if you are in the Twin Cities, Little Szechuan Hot Pot on University Ave. in St. Paul has them on the menu. They are delicious! In fact, it was the last restaurant I went to in March 2020 before restaurants were shut down. I see they are open again, so it might be time for a return!
This makes me miss Asia in general. (He’s very good!)
Yum!! We were just in Atlanta and the Northern Chinese Eatery has the cumin lamb kebabs. Soooo good!
Joann this makes me hungry for Pakistani kababs. Thanks .
