You know what they say: “All good things must come to an end.” I’m sad to report that this will probably be the last post of Gracie’s hymn videos to this blog as it is unlikely that she will be able to regain the use of her right arm/hand to the point of playing the piano again. As you can imagine, it is very disappointing for her; after all, she has been playing for 90 years!!! She has loved playing for everyone each week for the past 3 years.
Yes, it’s been 3 years. I started recording and posting these videos in the early days of “Covid Times” when many people were unable to get to church. She thought it would be a wonderful way to bless people and she has been overwhelmed by how many people wrote to say they were encouraged.
However, just because she won’t be playing and I won’t be posting here each week doesn’t mean you have to stop listening to them. The YouTube channel is now named “Sunday Morning Hymns with Gracie” and there you can find ALL 142 videos! In other words, you don’t have to wait until Sunday mornings.
You can listen to one every day.
Or, on Sunday morning, visit the channel and listen to one.
You can even create your own playlist!
So, thanks for being faithful listeners/watchers of these videos. And please continue to keep Gracie in your prayers as her physical limitations increase. And if you would like to send her a card of thanks or encouragement, you can send it to the mailing address at the bottom of the email. If you are not receiving this by email, please leave a comment to me and I will send you the mailing address.
And who knows…..maybe we can persuade my sister to pick up the mantle!!!
This is the first video that I posted to this blog, on May 3, 2020. The hymns are May the Mind of Christ, My Savior; More Love, O Christ, To Thee; and Like a River Glorious.
Thanks Gracie!
You’re music makes my heart sing!
Lots of love,
Starr
Thank you so much for these, how might I share one with a non FB operson?
