Good news! Gracie is back at the piano. In fact, her occupational therapist who comes to the house twice a week has said that daily piano playing is the most important thing she can do to continue recovering from her stroke! A month ago, when she was still in the hospital I doubted that she would ever be able to play again! God is good!
There’s still not a lot of stamina, so today there is only one hymn: He Hideth My Soul. Please continue your prayers. Late last week she was diagnosed with a touch of pneumonia, something she remains at high risk for due to the stroke affecting her swallowing. She appreciates your prayers.
HE HIDETH MY SOUL, by Fanny J. Crosby
1 A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
a wonderful Savior to me.
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,
where rivers of pleasure I see.
Refrain:
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
that shadows a dry, thirsty land.
He hideth my life in the depths of his love,
and covers me there with his hand,
and covers me there with his hand.
2 A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord;
he taketh my burden away.
He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved;
he giveth me strength as my day. [Refrain]
3 With numberless blessings each moment he crowns,
and filled with his fullness divine,
I sing in my rapture,“Oh, glory to God
for such a Redeemer as mine!” [Refrain]
4 When clothed in his brightness, transported I rise
to meet him in clouds of the sky,
his perfect salvation, his wonderful love,
I’ll shout with the millions on high. [Refrain]
Oh, the wonderful grace of our dear Savior manifested in Gracie’s life.
Keep playing, Grace! You blessed my heart today! Melissa Alness

Dear Gracie B.!
How good to see you and hear you back at the piano. Your touch is still there, and those artistic sounds (passing tones! chord progressions!) just flow from your brain, through your heart, and out your fingers! Thank you for the reminder that God hides our souls in the cleft of the rock of our salvation, and that we are covered there for life. Continued prayers, love, and “muchas gracias!” ?
