After 6 days in the hospital and 3 weeks in the fantastic transitional care unit of St. Therese, Gracie came home on Tuesday! Need I tell you she is thrilled? She’s got more recovery ahead of her, but for the next month or two will have the services of a home health care agency that will supervise continued treatment. Thanks for all your prayers on her behalf. It was a long month!
She hasn’t been strong enough to be back at the piano, so I’m posting the video from a year ago. The hymns are: O Worship the King, All Glorious Above; Praise to the Lord, the Almighty; Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing. The lyrics are on the YouTube page.
Even though we had to postpone her big birthday bash last weekend, we were able to have a scaled down celebration at St. Therese. We bought cupcakes to share with the wonderful staff and gathered in her room with my cousins who’d flown in for the weekend. We told stories, laughed, and were treated to a mini-concert with my cousin on the guitar and my brother-in-law on the mandolin. It wasn’t the birthday bash we had planned, but we sure had a great time.

Our campaign for her to receive 95 cards was a smashing success. She’s already surpassed 125 cards! I promised prizes for the person whose card was #1 to arrive and for the person who’s card was #95. Congratulations to Patricia W. and Tony A. respectively. A prize will be coming your way!
We do not yet have a date for a rescheduled open house; watch this space for more information.
Thank you, Jo, for this update. The birthday bash at St. Therese was a smashing success if you ask me! Perhaps we can have another celebration in Branson with those of us who couldn’t be there in person for this one. Keep the piano reruns running…. they’re always a blessing.
So glad Grace is home! The first of many milestones! ??❤️???
So wonderful to read all Gracie’s news! We thank God so much for all the wonderful care she’s had, the v special 95 th party in St Terese’s, and thank Him indeed now that she is home.
Please give her Margie Taylor’s love!!
Thankful to get this wonderful news…
