Gracie’s 95th birthday is tomorrow! Unfortunately she has had a minor setback in her recovery, so will not be discharged from the transitional care unit that day as we had hoped.
As such, we have decided it is best NOT to go ahead with the birthday open house we had planned for Saturday. We hope to reschedule it once she is closer to a full recovery.
She sends along her thanks for all the cards. We are now up to 85!! Something tells me we are going to get past 100 cards. We have put them up all over her room; the nurses and staff get a kick out of seeing them all.
She also appreciates your continued prayers. Her body’s recovery from a traumatic event is taking longer than we’d hoped. Pray for continued recovery and for her spirits. As you can imagine she was terribly disappointed when she got the word yesterday that she won’t be going home this week.
