It’s winter, and that means, among other things, that it’s snow sculpture season. In Northeast China, the 2016 Harbin Ice and Snow Festival has opened, showcasing some of the most amazing sculptures imaginable. The Atlantic has posted a great collection of photos from the festival. Here are three of them. Be sure to click on over to see all of them.
Meanwhile, here in Minnesota, 3 brothers have their own annual snow sculpture festival in their front yard. This year they built an 18-foot octopus. But it’s more than just for fun; they are raising money for a charity that provides clean drinking water in Haiti. You can read more about them here. It’s pretty impressive, especially since we have had so little snow this winter.
